Strategy Lab: Review and Reopen Saved OA Strategy Analyses
Strategy Lab is the saved-analysis view inside Office Action Research. Every multi-case strategy analysis you generate from Search Cases is stored here, so you can reopen a completed analysis instead of rerunning the same case set.
Each saved analysis shows the marks it covered, its status, a summary, the filters applied, the case count, and when it was created.
What You Can Do
- View all your saved strategy analyses in one list
- See whether an analysis is Complete, Processing, or Failed
- See the marks included in each analysis
- Read a short summary, or the error message if a run failed
- See the filters that scoped the analysis and how many cases it covered
- Reopen any completed analysis in the analysis modal
- Delete saved analyses you no longer need
How to Reach Strategy Lab
- Open Office Action Research (
/oa-research) - Select the Strategy Lab tab
If you have not created any analyses yet, the tab shows an empty state titled No strategy analyses yet with guidance to start from Search Cases.
How It Works
- Create an analysis first — In Search Cases, filter your case list, check 2–10 cases, and click Analyze Strategy
- Open Strategy Lab — Go to Office Action Research and select Strategy Lab
- Review your saved analyses — Each card shows the key details of one saved run
- Open a completed analysis — Click the card, or use the open icon that appears when you hover over it
- Delete an analysis — Use the trash icon that appears on hover
Analysis Cards
Each saved analysis appears as a card.
Header
The top row shows:
- Up to three mark names, with a
+Ncount when more than three marks were included - A status badge: Complete, Processing, or Failed
- An Example badge on the default example analysis
Summary
Below the header, the card shows the analysis summary when one is available, the error message if the run failed, or Processing... while it is still running.
Filter Context and Metadata
Each card can also show:
- Up to three filter pills in
Label: Valueformat, with a+N moreindicator when more filters were applied - The number of cases analyzed, shown as
X cases - A relative timestamp such as "3 hours ago"
Opening a Saved Analysis
You can reopen a completed analysis two ways:
- Click anywhere on the card
- Hover over the card and click the open icon
Only analyses with Complete status can be opened. When you open one, it appears in the analysis modal, preloaded with the saved summary, the filter context, the case count, and the cited cases from the run.
Status Meanings
| Status | What It Means |
|---|---|
| Complete | The analysis finished successfully and can be opened |
| Processing | The analysis is still being generated |
| Failed | The analysis did not complete successfully |
Deleting an Analysis
To remove a saved analysis, hover over its card and click the trash icon. The analysis is removed from your Strategy Lab list.
The default example analysis does not show a delete action.
Tips
- Use Search Cases to narrow your case list before running an analysis
- Reopen a completed analysis from Strategy Lab instead of rerunning the same case set
- Check the filter pills on each card to see how an analysis was scoped
- Look at the case count before opening an analysis to confirm you are reviewing the right run
