Law Firm & Attorney Search
Law Firm & Attorney Search lets you look up trademark attorneys and law firms by name from a single page. Type a name to see matching firms and attorneys side by side, compare their prosecution volume, and open a full profile for any result.
How It Works
- Go to the page — visit
/attorney-search - Type a name — enter at least 2 characters in the search field; results load automatically as you type
- Filter by type — use the All Results, Law Firms, and Attorneys tabs to focus on one kind of result
- Sort each section — use the Sort: control in the Law Firms and Attorneys sections
- Open a profile — click any firm or attorney card to open its full profile page
Searching
The page uses a single search field with the placeholder "Search firm or attorney names...". It matches both firms and attorneys at the same time, and shows both in separate sections.
- Enter at least 2 characters. Below that, the page shows "Enter at least 2 characters to search" and waits.
- Results refresh automatically a moment after you stop typing — there is no need to press Search, though the button submits the form.
- Your query is stored in the URL as
q, so you can bookmark or share a search by copying the browser URL.
Example:
/attorney-search?q=smith
Results
When a query returns matches, the page shows three tabs:
- All Results — both sections together
- Law Firms — firms only
- Attorneys — attorneys only
Each tab and section header shows its own result count.
Law Firms section
Each firm card can show:
- Firm name
- A marks badge with the firm's prosecution count
- A TTAB badge with the proceeding count, shown only when the firm has TTAB proceedings
- The number of attorneys associated with the firm
- The firm's email domain, when a sample email is on file
Clicking a firm card opens its profile page at /entity/firm/[key].
Attorneys section
Each attorney card can show:
- Attorney name
- A marks badge with the attorney's prosecution count
- A TTAB badge with the proceeding count, shown only when the attorney has TTAB proceedings
- The attorney's firm affiliation, when known
- The attorney's email domain, when an email is on file
Clicking an attorney card opens its profile page at /entity/correspondent/[key].
