Howard Katzenberg spent 11 years as a CFO — including at OnDeck — before founding the fintech company Glean. A trademark conflict over that brand name showed him the state of the tools firsthand: a USPTO website stuck in another decade and enterprise tools priced at $10,000–$20,000 a year, built for the largest firms. He founded GleanMark to put the entire USPTO record behind everyday trademark work — for the attorneys and firms who actually do it.
