The team behind GleanMark

The Trademark Trial and Appeal Board (TTAB) handles opposition and cancellation proceedings. GleanMark lets you search all TTAB proceedings, track those involving your marks or owners, and run AI analysis on any proceeding.

What You Can Do

  • Search TTAB proceedings by party name, proceeding number, or trademark
  • Track proceedings involving your portfolio marks and tracked owners
  • View parties, documents, timelines, and current status
  • Run AI analysis on any proceeding
  • Export proceeding data

TTAB Workspace

The TTAB page (/ttab) has two tabs when you're signed in:

Tracked Proceedings

Shows proceedings automatically detected for your monitored marks and tracked owners. Organized by status:

  • Active — proceeding is ongoing
  • Suspended — temporarily paused
  • Terminated — decided or dismissed
  • Not Instituted — filing rejected

Search

Search all TTAB proceedings in the GleanMark database. Find proceedings by party name, proceeding number, or related serial numbers.

(Signed-out visitors see a "Recent Proceedings" tab in place of "Tracked Proceedings," plus the same Search tab.)

Proceeding Detail Page

Click any proceeding to see its full detail at /ttab/proceeding/:number:

  • Metadata — filing date, status, proceeding type, interlocutory attorney, days active, next deadline
  • Parties — petitioner and respondent with addresses and links to owner profiles
  • Properties — the trademark(s) at issue
  • Document timeline — every filing and entry in chronological order with entry numbers
  • AI Analysis — click "Get AI Summary" for an AI-generated strategic analysis of the proceeding

AI TTAB Analysis

The "Get AI Summary" feature generates an analysis including:

  • Proceeding overview and current posture
  • Party strengths and weaknesses
  • Key document highlights
  • Strategic observations
  • Likely outcomes based on patterns

Tips

  • Track proceedings via owner monitoring — when you track an owner, TTAB proceedings involving them are automatically surfaced
  • Check the document timeline regularly for active proceedings — new filings can signal strategy shifts
  • Use AI analysis to quickly get up to speed on a complex proceeding
  • Use proceeding numbers when searching — they're the most reliable identifier (e.g., 91285431)
