The mark consists of a circular design with concentric rings where the outer ring contains the wording "ROOSEVELT MIDDLE SCHOOL" along the top arc and "HOME OF THE LIONS!" along the bottom arc. At the center of the design is a shield divided into four quadrants by horizontal and vertical lines, each quadrant containing a design element: an atom symbol in the upper left quadrant, a figure of a running person in the upper right quadrant, a balance scale in the lower right quadrant, and five books in the lower left quadrant. In the center of the shield is a stylized design of a lion's head. Behind the shield is a triangle, with the wording "TRUTH" at the top angle, "HONOR" at the lower left side, and "JUSTICE" at the lower right side of the triangle.
