My Trademarks: Track Individual Marks You're Watching
The My Trademarks page (/trademarks) is where you track specific individual marks you want to watch closely. Monitored owners already cover all of their marks automatically — use this page for marks from other owners, such as competitor marks, marks in opposition, or any trademark outside your client portfolios.
Each mark you track here lives in one of your personal portfolios. From this page you can search, filter, switch between layouts, export, open a mark's detail page, and remove a mark from your list.
What You Can Do
- Track specific individual marks from other owners (competitor watch, opposition, etc.)
- Search your tracked marks by mark name, serial number, or owner
- Filter with the All, Active, At Risk, and Needs Attention tabs
- Filter by client (when your account has clients)
- Switch between list, grid, and table views
- Open a mark's detail page
- Export the current filtered list to CSV
- Export a single mark to CSV
- Bulk-import serial numbers into a portfolio
- Remove a mark from your list
- Add a mark by searching the USPTO database
How It Works
- Open My Trademarks — Go to
/trademarks - Review your marks — The header shows My Trademarks with a count of tracked marks
- Search the list — Use the Search trademarks... field to find a mark by name, serial number, or owner
- Filter by tab — Choose All, Active, At Risk, or Needs Attention
- Filter by client — If you have clients, use the Client filter
- Choose a view — Switch between list, grid, and table using the layout buttons
- Open a mark — Click View Details on a card to open the full mark page
- Export or remove — Use the export action or remove a mark from the card menu
Page Header
The header shows My Trademarks with the total count in parentheses. When marks are present, it also surfaces quick counts for items that Need Attention, upcoming Deadlines, and recent New Changes.
The header includes three actions:
- Import (upload icon) — opens the Bulk Import Trademarks dialog to import serial numbers into a portfolio
- Export (download icon) — exports all tracked marks as CSV
- Add Trademark — sends you to
/searchto find a mark to add
Filters and Search
Filter Tabs
The status filter is a set of tabs, each showing a live count:
| Tab | What It Shows |
|---|---|
| All | Every tracked mark |
| Active | Marks without a registration date (not yet registered) |
| At Risk | Marks with a high or medium risk level |
| Needs Attention | Marks with fewer than 7 days until a deadline |
Risk level is derived from a mark's status — for example, marks in an office action or abandoned state are treated as higher risk.
Client Filter
If your account has clients, a Client filter appears. The default is All, and you can narrow the list to a single client's marks.
Search
The Search trademarks... field filters the list by:
- Mark name
- Serial number
- Owner name
The list updates as you type, based on matches in any of those fields.
View Options
My Trademarks supports three layouts, switched using the layout buttons:
- List
- Grid
- Table
These change how the same marks are displayed without changing which marks appear.
What Appears for Each Trademark
Each tracked mark shows:
- The mark name and serial number
- Registration number, when available
- Status
- Client, when the mark's portfolio is assigned to one
- A Recent Changes badge when the mark's status was updated within the last 30 days
- A New badge when there are alerts for that serial number
Selecting View Details opens the mark detail page at:
/trademark/uspto-[serial_number]
Each card also has a menu with View Documents, Export Data, and Remove from Monitoring.
Recent Changes and Alerts
A mark shows a New badge when there are alerts associated with its serial number.
A Recent Changes badge appears when the mark's most recent status update happened within the last 30 days.
A Note on Deadlines
The page includes deadline-based states — Needs Attention, upcoming deadlines, and a Set Reminder action — but deadline fields are not populated on the marks returned to this page. In normal use, the deadline indicators and the Set Reminder action will not appear, and the Needs Attention tab will be empty. For deadline tracking, use portfolio-level monitoring and alerts.
Export Options
Export the Current List
Export the currently filtered marks to CSV using the Export action in the header. The file includes:
- Serial Number
- Mark Name
- Status
- Owner
- Portfolio
- Date Added
Only the marks currently visible under your active search and filters are exported.
Export a Single Trademark
From a card's menu, choose Export Data to export one mark. The file includes:
- Serial Number
- Mark Name
- Status
- Owner
- Filing Date
- Registration Date
- Registration Number
Remove a Mark
From a card's menu, choose Remove from Monitoring. The app asks you to confirm before removing the mark. After a successful removal, the list refreshes automatically.
Add More Trademarks
Click Add Trademark in the header (or Add a Trademark on the empty-state card) to go to /search, where you can find marks to add. To add many at once, use the Import action to bulk-import serial numbers into a portfolio.
Tips
- Use search when you know the serial number or exact mark name
- Use the Client filter to review one client's tracked marks at a time
- Use the At Risk tab to focus on marks flagged with higher risk
- Export filtered results before reporting or sharing activity internally
- Remember: this page is for individual marks you want to watch — owner-level monitoring already covers every mark an owner files
