Understanding Your Dashboard
The team behind GleanMark
The GleanMark dashboard (/home) gives you a daily snapshot of everything happening across your trademarks, owners, and proceedings. It's designed to surface what needs attention without you having to dig.
The Overview Hero
The top of the dashboard is the Overview section — three cards labeled "Your book of business at a glance." Each card groups three related numbers, and every number is clickable to jump straight to the underlying list.
Book of Business
In an organization (firm) workspace, this card shows:
- Active Clients — opens your Clients list
- Registered Marks — opens active-registered clients
- Pending Marks — opens active-pending clients
In a personal workspace the card is titled Your Marks and the first number switches to Tracked Owners (clients are an organization-only concept), alongside Registered Marks and Pending Marks.
TTAB Proceedings (Active)
In an organization workspace this card breaks the active TTAB count into three numbers:
- Managed — proceedings your firm is counsel on
- Other Counsel — proceedings involving your marks or owners handled by other counsel
- Active TTAB Clients — clients with active proceedings
In a personal workspace it shows a single active-proceedings count. Click the card to open the TTAB page.
Needs attention
A red-accented card with the three numbers most likely to need action today:
- Alerts (14d) — new monitoring alerts created in the last 14 days; opens the Alerts inbox
- Overdue — deadlines past due and not yet completed; opens overdue deadlines
- Next 30 days — deadlines due within the next 30 days
Quick Actions
The dashboard header has three quick-action buttons for common workflows:
- New Portfolio — create a new portfolio
- New Analysis — start a confusion analysis, clearance report, or other tool
- Knockout Search — quick availability check for a proposed mark
Below the Hero
Under the Overview cards you'll find a Top portfolios snapshot of your busiest portfolios, with a button to open the full Portfolios page. Use this to jump quickly into the portfolios you work in most.
New User Experience
If you haven't imported any trademarks yet, the dashboard shows onboarding cards to get you started:
- Import trademarks — add your existing marks to start monitoring
- Track owners — monitor owners to catch new filings fast
- Set alerts — configure alerts so GleanMark can watch for similar marks
These cards disappear once you have active data.
Tips
- Check the dashboard daily — the 14-day alert window means you see recent activity without being overwhelmed.
- Click the numbers — every metric in the Overview hero links straight to the relevant list (clients, alerts, deadlines, or TTAB).
- The dashboard is your "what needs attention" view — use the Alerts inbox for the full alert history.
