Power Search: Find Any Trademark in Seconds
Power Search is GleanMark's primary search tool. Search 13M+ USPTO trademark records by mark name, owner, or goods and services — and filter results with faceted drill-downs. No account required.
What You Can Do
- Search by trademark name with phonetic and visual similarity matching
- Search by owner name to find all marks owned by an entity
- Search by goods and services description
- Filter results by status, Nice class, owner, mark type, filing date, and more
- Sort by relevance, filing date, registration date, or last activity
- Click through to full trademark detail pages with prosecution history
How It Works
- Go to Search — Click "Power" under Search in the sidebar, or go directly to
/search - Choose a search mode — Three tabs at the top:
- Trademarks (default) — search by mark name
- Owners — search by owner/entity name
- G&S — search by goods and services description
- Type your query — Results appear as you search
- Apply filters — Use the filter sidebar to narrow by status, Nice class, owner, mark type, TTAB involvement, or date ranges
- Click a result — Opens the full trademark detail page with prosecution history, documents, and analysis tools
Search Modes
Trademark Search (Default)
Type a mark name and GleanMark searches using phonetic matching, trigram similarity, and exact matching. Results are ranked by relevance — the most similar marks appear first.
Examples: "Moonlight Coffee", "BRIGHTPATH", "AT&T"
Owner Search
Find all trademarks owned by a specific entity. Type an owner name and see their full portfolio.
Examples: "Nike Inc", "Apple", "Johnson & Johnson"
Goods & Services Search
Search the goods and services descriptions across all trademarks. Useful for finding marks in a specific product or service category.
Examples: "coffee roasting", "software development", "clothing retail"
Filters
The filter sidebar lets you drill down into results:

| Filing Date | Date range with presets (Last Year, Last 5 Years, All Time) |
| Registration Date | Same range options |
| Last Activity | Most recent USPTO event |
Filters update in real time — the facet counts adjust as you narrow your search.
Search Results
Each result shows:
- Mark name and mark type badge (Word, Combined, Stylized, Design)
- Status badge (Registered, Pending, etc.)
- Owner name (clickable link to owner profile)
- Serial number and registration number (if registered)
- Nice classes
- Goods & Services description
- Filing date and registration date
Click any result to open the full trademark detail page.
URL Sharing
Search results are URL-encoded. Share a search by copying the browser URL — it preserves the query, mode, and all active filters. Example: /search?q=moonlight+coffee&mode=trademark
Tips
- Use Owners mode for competitive research — type a competitor's name to see their full filing portfolio
- Filter by TTAB = Active to find marks currently involved in opposition or cancellation proceedings
- Combine date filters — "Filed in last year" + "Status = Pending" shows recent applications still under review
- Search is free and unlimited — no account required. Sign in to unlock saving searches and additional features.
