Prosecution History & Timeline
The team behind GleanMark
Every trademark in GleanMark includes its complete prosecution history — every event, document, status change, and milestone from filing to current status. View it as a timeline, browse documents, or get an AI summary.
Where to Find It
Open any trademark detail page (click a mark from search results, portfolios, or alerts). Two areas cover prosecution history:
- Visual Timeline — a standalone section near the top of the detail page that shows key prosecution milestones as a flow
- The tabbed records panel further down, which includes:
- Mark History tab — event table with every prosecution event
- Documents tab — USPTO TSDR documents
The Timeline is its own page section, not a tab inside the records panel.
Mark History
The event table shows every USPTO event in chronological order:
- Event code — the official USPTO event code
- Description — human-readable explanation
- Date — when the event occurred
- Status-change badge — shows what registration status resulted from the event
- Document category — what type of document was filed or generated
- Importance level — key events are highlighted
Visual Timeline
The prosecution timeline shows key dates as a visual flow:
- Filing → first office action → publication → registration → renewal → expiration
- Assignment events are marked
- Abandonment is shown if applicable
- Hover for details on each milestone
Documents
The Documents tab lists all USPTO TSDR documents:
- Preview documents directly in the browser
- Download for offline access
- Document types include: office actions, specimens, amendments, registration certificates, declarations, assignments
AI Prosecution Summary
Click "Get AI Summary" to generate an AI analysis of the mark's prosecution history. The summary provides:
- Key events and their significance
- Pattern analysis (how quickly the examiner acted, whether OAs were issued)
- Strategic observations
Saved summaries are accessible at /prosecution-summary/:summaryId.
